At our Archdiocesan general meeting on October 23rd Evelyn Rigby, past president of the council, was presented with a Certificate of appreciation for her outstanding service, in forming and mentoring new Councils. She was instrumental in involving other CWL members such as Life members, Diocesan, Presidents and Past Presidents.

Evelyn has also been very successful in reviving disbanded or inactive councils, by injecting Love, Enthusiasm, Friendship and support. She has been very generous with her time and talent as she worked tirelessly to increase membership growth. She has not only taught us about teamwork and leadership qualities, but has proven herself to be an exceptional leader.

At the moment, with Evelyn’s guidance we are in the process of setting up a leadership team. The vision is to start new councils in parishes that do not have a CWL council, and to provide support for these councils as well as the revived and inactive councils.

Evelyn has now moved on to her next challenge which is being Provincial Secretary, however it is comforting to know that she is only a phone call or email away, and that we still have the benefit of her support and guidance.

We wish her every happiness and success in her new position and thank her for her Love, Friendship, Support, Service and Leadership in the Archdiocesan Council, and Evelyn keep on shining!!!

Prayer for our Deceased Members

Our hearts are saddened, O loving Father, as we remember our sisters. Comfort us by your Holy Spirit. Though sad we also rejoice that they are with you, safe from illness, pain, and sorrow. Help us to remember the beauty of their lives, and to continue the work they have laid down. May we be ever true to the faith by which they lived.  Amen

Eternal rest grant unto them O Lord, and let Perpetual Light shine on them. May they rest in peace Amen.

As November approaches let us remember our own loved ones, and on remembrance day let us remember all the fallen soldiers who have given their lives so that we can be free. Let us also pray for all of the families left behind to grieve and mourn their loved ones.
